Rosacea Natural Treatment Options Can Help You
According to Mayo Clinic, there are several rosacea natural treatment therapies in existence, although they have not been proven effective by conclusive studies. Some of these treatments include vitamin K, colloidal silver, and emu oil.

Rosacea is an inflammatory, chronic, skin condition that produces redness and small, red, pus-filled bumps on your face. It usually gets worse if it's not treated, and it tends to be cyclical, going through periods of flare-ups and then calming down again. There is no cure for this condition unfortunately, but there are many treatment options, which also include rosacea natural treatment options. You might have to use a combination of treatments to combat your specific condition as everyone reacts differently to the condition and the means of treating it.

It's also important to recognize the things that tend to make your rosacea flare up, and your doctor may recommend that you use products that will improve the overall health of your skin, in addition to those that are focused on combating rosacea. Make sure that you keep a list of what seems to trigger your rosacea. Some common factors that seem to worsen the condition include too much sun, harsh cold, too much contact with the skin (too much rubbing), harsh cleansers, using products on the skin that contain alcohol or other skin irritants, spicy foods, stress, over-exposure to heat, and consumption of too much alcohol.

Eating foods rich in vitamin K are one of the recommended treatment options for rosacea, because vitamin K boasts blood clotting properties. Some foods that fit this bill include kale, spinach, chicory, and avocado. Keep in mind that these foods could also be allergens to you personally which would defeat the purpose of taking in vitamin K.

Some people use colloidal silver as an alternative to antibiotics when treating rosacea. Colloidal silver used to be used to prevent epidemics because it contains anti-bacterial properties. Although it is natural (no chemicals, fillers, and additives), it may cause side effects. Overuse may lead to argyia, an irreversible skin disorder.

Emu oil is a tissue nutrient, and using soap with emu oil will moisturize your skin rather than drying it out. The National Rosacea Society recommends applying quality moisturizer to your skin after mild cleansing, and some claim that emu oil works well because it penetrates deep into the many layers of the skin and mirrors the composition of the lipid profile of your skin. Emu oil is also noncomedogenic and will not clog pores.

To prevent side effects, always follow the instructions on the label of whatever it is that you use and do not use more than the recommended dosage unless your doctor has specified otherwise. Always consult your dermatologist before using anything to treat rosacia, even if it's a rosacea natural treatment.
